An Irish Graduate Visa is a scheme that allows non-EEA students, who have acquired qualifications from and Irish third level educational institution, to remain in Ireland and look for work. In order to apply the student must hold a current Certificate of Registration issued by the Garda National Immigration Bureau.
This permit is granted for 6 or 12 months. During this timeframe the applicant will be allowed to work, without having to apply for a
work permit. Applicants are not allowed to operate a business or engage in self employment during this time.
This permit can not be renewed. Applicants who wish to remain in Ireland longer will have to apply for a different permit –
work permit,
study permit , etc.
