Am I eligible for an UK Tier 2 Intra-company Transfer Visa?

 

The UK Tier 2 Intra-company transfer is a points-based system, where you need to be able to reach the pass mark of 50 points for the following attributes:
  • Certificate of sponsorship (30 points) – To score points for sponsorship, you must have an offer of employment and a valid certificate of sponsorship form a licensed sponsor. Your certificate of sponsorship needs to indicate that the occupation is at NQF level 6. This does not require you to be educated to this level, but your job must be at this level to qualify.
  • Appropriate salary (20 points) – To score points for this component your proposed annual salary needs to be relevant to the local salary rate for the nominated occupation. In attrition to that your annual salary needs to be at least GBP 40,000 if you are applying under the Long-term staff stream and at least GBP 24,000 for the other 3 streams (Short-term staff, Graduate trainee, Skills transfer). The annual salary taken into account is inclusive of any additional benefits like allowances and bonuses.


In some rare cases your may also be required to provide evidence of your English proficiency and sufficient funds.

English proficiency - If you are a native speaker you will not be required to show proof of your English proficiency. Also if this is the first time you are applying for the visa and you are not planning to stay for more than 3 years you will be exempt from this requirement. However if you are looking to extend your stay and stay beyond 3 years and you are not a native speaker you will be required to show proof that you can speak, communicate and understand English.

Maintenance funds - You may be required to show that you have sufficient funds to support yourself for the first months in UK. You will be required to show that you have had min GBP 900 + extra GBP 600 for each dependent, and this balance has been in you bank account for min 90 days prior to lodging your application. You will be exempt from this requirement if your sponsor can certify that they will provide maintenance and accommodation during the first month in the UK.
